The Research and Development Cluster (KPP) plays a vital role in conducting research on social and social development matters, both generally and specifically for KPWKM's target groups. This supports the formulation of current national policies and strategies. The Cluster’s responsibilities include:

  • Planning, coordinating, and conducting research related to social and social development;
  • Planning and managing the annual financial allocation designated for research activities;
  • Conducting surveys to identify relevant social issues and challenges for further study; and
  • Providing advisory services to other divisions/clusters/units on research-related matters.

Established in 2018, this cluster is entrusted with carrying out studies outlined in KPWKM's Strategic Plan in line with the Malaysia Plan. The focus is on addressing current issues concerning target groups such as Women, Senior Citizens, Children, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), and other specific groups.
