The findings of this study have implications not only for empowering and improving welfare assistance programmes implemented by the government for target groups in the future but also for providing valuable input to KPWKM in planning suitable long-term strategic assistance plans. The results also impact the evaluation of the effectiveness of government programmes in delivering assistance to target groups. The latest study inputs can serve as a reference for assessing current assistance programmes to ensure the provision of relevant data and information about the assistance needed. Furthermore, this study can act as an important reference for understanding the responses and perceptions of assistance recipients regarding the delivery system, as well as their expectations in improving the living standards of low-income households in Malaysia.
